MAIDA BURFI



Ingredients: 12 pieces.

*1/2 cup maida.

*1/2 cup sugar.

*1/4 cup ghee/vanaspati.

*8-10 nos cashew nuts (chopped)

*A pinch food colour.(any color)

*Water for sugar syrup.

Preparation:

*Keep a greased plate ready.

*In a pan,heat all the ghee and fry the cashew nuts till golden brown.

*Then add maida and fry in a low flame.

*In a vessel heat the sugar with water.(to one string consistency).

*Add food color and put off the stove.

*Remove from the stove and add fried maida and keep on stirring.

*When mixture gets thickened,loose enough to spread,spread evenly in the greased plate.

*After it gets cooled down,still warm,grease a knife and cut into rectangular shapes.
